Norbert Goldberg trio

Drummer Norbert Goldberg brings together two of the most sought-after musicians in Brazilian and Latin jazz today: pianist Edsel Gomez and bassist Itaiguara Brandao. Gomez, has been featured in several Grammy winning recordings including his collaboration with Dee Dee Bridgewater and recorded and toured with Jack DeJohnette, Don Byron, Brian Lynch and Eddie Palmieri. A native of Rio de Janeiro, bassist Itaiguara Brandao has toured internationally and recorded extensively with a wide range of Latin and World Music artists such as: Dianne Reeves, Ivan Lins, Marcos Valle, Toquinho, Roberto Menescal, and Leny Andrade.

Drummer/percussionist Norbert Goldberg has enjoyed a prolific performance career spanning Broadway, jazz, and the recording studio. His extensive Broadway credits include hit shows like Once on This Island, A Chorus Line, Grease, Newsies, and On Your Feet!, and he has accompanied legends such as Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune. A versatile collaborator, he has played with jazz icons including Dame Cleo Laine, Slide Hampton, as well as acclaimed composers Lalo Schifrin and Michel Legrand. His professional versatility also extends to the studio with recording credits including Grover Washington Jr., Gerry Mulligan, various Latin music artists, film scores and jingles.
