Virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone” (New York Times), Grammy-winning Juilliard graduates and identical twins Peter and Will Anderson present timeless hits of the Brazilian Bossa Nova, including works by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luis Bonfa, and others.  Known as the "father of bossa nova," Jobim is celebrated for merging Brazilian samba with cool jazz to create a timeless, globally influential sound that forever changed 20th-century popular music.  Songs will include "Desafinado," "Girl from ipanema," "Wave," "Corcovado," and "Samba de Orfeu."  The Anderson brothers have performed on Broadway, at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, the New Orleans Jazz Festival, live on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion Radio Program, and can be heard on the soundtrack of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire with Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks.  Vanity Fair magazine listed their album in “Four New Releases to Make You Love Jazz,” and the Washington Post said they “consistently bring a fresh perspective to classic jazz.”  They were recently featured on the soundtrack and on screen in Martin Scorsese’s film “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and regularly perform at the famed Birdland Jazz Club in the heart of New York City. www.PeterAndWillAnderson.com
