Hudson Paul is a professional saxophonist and composer. Known for his original sound and style, influenced by players like Cannonball Adderley, Johnny Hodges, Sonny Stitt, Charlie Parker, Charles McPherson, and others. Hudson Paul leads his own band and has performed at many jazz clubs as well as sitting in at the Birdland jazz club in NYC.
Hudson comes from a musical family. He is the grandson of 49 time GRAMMY nominated and 8 time GRAMMY award-winning conductor and composer José Serebrier. He is also the grandson of GRAMMY nominated Metropolitan Opera Soprano Carole Farley.
Hudson is passionate about music, focusing on Jazz performance, and jazz and classical composition and arranging. Hudson plays multiple instruments such as alto saxophone (primary), soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone, clarinet, piano, and drums. He has studied saxophone with Charles Mcpherson, Chris Lewis, Dan Block, and David DeJesus.
