The Joel Viera Quartet is a New York City-based jazz group led by bassist and composer Joel Viera. Blending straight-ahead jazz tradition with modern influences from Latin jazz, soul, and contemporary improvisation, the group brings an energetic and interactive sound shaped by the spirit of the NYC jazz scene.
The band features a rotating lineup of some of the city’s top young musicians performing original compositions alongside fresh interpretations of jazz standards and groove-oriented arrangements.
